Robert Crumb is an American counter culture cartoonist known for his uncompromising comics of the sixties & seventies. He created Fritz the cat. A modified version of one of his cartoons appeared in the controversial ‘School Kids’ edition of Oz magazine and was central to the subsequent trial at the Old Bailey in 1971. He is an avid collector of pre-Second World War music. Robert Crumb’s book “ Heroes of Blues, Jazz & Country” (ISBN-13 9780810930865) brings together in book form three companion sets of trading cards – “Heroes of the Blues”, “Early Jazz Greats”, and” “Pioneers of Country Music”. A biography of each musician is provided, along with a full colour original illustration. It includes a 21-track CD of music selected and compiled by Crumb himself.
