Jazz on the Pantiles started again on 'Star Wars Day' (May the Fourth). Performances are free and they start at 7 pm.
So far there there are only listings for May, but events should continue throughout the Summer months.
4th May – Lipstick and Beatniks
Lipstick & Beatniks are a five piece band based in East Sussex specialising in various forms of Jazz, Electro Swing, Boogie Woogie, Rockabilly, Soul, Latin and Blues.
11th May – Harry Whitty
Harry Whitty is a singer-songwriter, trombonist and multi-instrumentalist. With a wide repertoire of jazz standards, original songs and covers.
18th May – The Andalus Band
Andalus Band are a fantastic tribute band dedicated to playing the music of the Gipsy Kings, classic standards, as well as your favourite dance music.
25th May – The Swinging Little Big Band
A charismatic & original swing band playing their own versions of modern rock & pop songs as you’ve never heard them before alongside classic swing numbers
1st June - Noel McCalla Music
Eponymously named four piece band featuring Tim Cansfield guitar; Nick France drums; and Henry Thomas bass.
8 June - Force 10 Big Band
FORCE 10 is a 17-piece big band playing music from swing, dance and b-bop to modern jazz, TV and show themes.
15 June - The Coalminers
The only band to fully dedicate themselves to the New Orleans Soul and Funk sound in the UK.
22 June - Marc Parnell and Liz Fletcher
29 June - The Jive Aces
The Jive Aces are a six-piece UK based, high energy, jive and swing band, formed in 1989.
