Until recently, I had not used Spotify, then my son bought me a 3-month gift voucher. Initially I signed up for a free account. I did not want to cash in the voucher until I had a good understanding of Spotify. The free account was good, especially if I listened on a desktop computer, they offer more benefits than when you listen from a mobile phone. I then signed up for a Premier account using the voucher. The two main advantages are that I could download stuff onto my phone at home so I didn’t need to pay roaming data charges when I was on the move. There were no adverts. The latter is important when listening to Jazz. Jazz tracks are so long that often you get adverts between every track on the non-premier version. If you want to experiment with Spotify sign up for a free account. Then, experiment by buying a 1-month voucher for £10 at your local supermarket. Here are some Jazz Spotify playlists.
