I received in my inbox the information that Takuya Kuroda is playing the Jazz Café and they billed him as the ‘world’s best jazz trumpeter’.
I have done some research and decided that those who rate Takuya Kuroda as the world’s best jazz trumpeter probably rate Kenny G as the world’s best jazz saxophonist.
This track at least is better than his more popular offerings.

A vinyl release of Stan Tracey's album 'Under Milk Wood' has been announced.
This track is awesome, perhaps the best British jazz track of all time.

I came across this amazing video which allows you to see what the famous names in jazz looked like, albeit in fuzzy vision. (In the same spirit, I have updated my icon!)
