This is a tribute track to Indo Dutch boogie-woogie and jazz pianist Rob Agerbeek. He was the winner of several jazz concourses in the Netherlands in the late 1950s. He was regarded as one of Europe's finest jazz pianists, covering the full spectrum of jazz styles from his early days of Boogie-woogie to Chicago traditional Jazz, swing and contemporary jazz.

There is an interesting article about Charlie Watt's book collection. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-66121572The article also tells us that "One of his favourites (tracks) was Walkin' Shoes by the Gerry Mulligan Quartet, featuring the drumming of Chico Hamilton, who Watts tried to emulate by taking the neck off a banjo and playing the body with wire brushes". Let's have a listen to that.

This London Brew a group of musicians from the Capitol playing a tribute to Miles' Bitches Brew. It is kind of strange though that they don't include a trumpet player.
